Development of a hybrid arm prosthesis controlled by EEG signals
Abstract
This work presents the development of a hybrid arm prosthesis controlled by EEG signals. A microcontroller in the prosthesis is responsible to process the signals sent by a headset that reads the electrical activity of the brain. Also presents the mechanical development of the prosthesis, respecting the ergonomic and anthropometric criteria. From this development, the work serves as a basis for improving the quality of life of the people and presents a low cost of production compared to the average price of hybrid prosthesis. © 2017 IEEE.
