Asa do HPA-IMT: avanços na manufatura e testes

Abstract

The IMT Human Powered Aircraft, is an aircraft powered by human propulsion that sustains itself in controlled flight by the power generated exclusively by its pilot. In 2017, the Mauá Institute of Technology started its HPA project, called Tuiuiú. This monograph records the sequence of studies related to the manufacture of the wing, including structural elements and accessories. Initially, the stresses arising from the ultimate loads were reviewed and, subsequently, manufacturing techniques for carbon joints, extruded polystyrene ribs and other fundamental and accessory parts of the wing structure were developed. The team completed the work by creating process sheets for all wing manufacturing operations, except the skin and the rotating wing tip control surface.

O HPA, do inglês Human Powered Aircraft, é uma aeronave movida à propulsão humana que se sustenta em voo controlado pela potência gerada pelo seu piloto, exclusivamente. Em 2017 o Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia iniciou seu projeto de HPA, denominado Tuiuiú. Esta monografia registra a sequência dos estudos relacionados com a fabricação da asa, incluindo elementos estruturais e acessórios. Inicialmente foram revisadas as cargas decorrentes do carregamento final e, posteriormente, foram desenvolvidads as técnicas de fabricação de juntas de carbono, nervuras de poliestireno estrudado e outras partes fundamentais e acessórias da estrutura da asa. A equipe concluiu o trabalho com a realização de fichas de processo para todas as operações de manufatura da asa, exceto revestimento e superfície de controle de rolagem (rotating wing-tip).
