A Universidade, o Indivíduo e a Sociedade

Abstract

Este artigo aborda o papel da Universidade frente à produção de conhecimentos e como o processo de civilização e evolução da humanidade determinam os rumos da ciência, sob uma perspectiva embasada no autor Norbert Elias e sua obra "A Sociedade dos Indivíduos". Ele apresenta o caráter global das instituições de ensino referenciadas aos professores, e a sociedade, na busca da formação de indivíduos críticos e participativos. Analisa os comportamentos, as condutas e anseios, para tentar equalizar a relação indivíduo/universidade frente à produção do conhecimento. O conhecimento deve transformar a sociedade e as relações professor/aluno formando indivíduos que pensem de forma global e que transformem a sociedade. Uma pesquisa exploratória permitiu nortear este artigo e suas conclusões.

This article discusses the role of the University as the production of knowledge and how the process of evolution of humanity and civilization determine the directions of science, a perspective grounded in the author Norbert Elias and his book “The Society of Individuals”. He presents the overall character of educational institutions referred to teachers, and society in the pursuit of training individuals critical and participatory. Analyze behaviors conduct and desires, to try to equalize the relationship between individual/university before the production of knowledge. The knowledge must transform society and relations teacher / student forming individuals to think globally and to transform society. Exploratory studies allowed govern this article and its conclusions.
