Microwave Chemistry - A Fertile Field for Scientific Research and Industrial Applications
Abstract
The subject of microwave chemistry and various microwave industrial applications were discussed. Low power applications are non-destructive measurement methods used in process control, while the most common high power applications are to be found in processing industries utilizing microwave energy for heating. Researchers also cite a phenomenon, namely a probable threshold value for microwave power, above which microwaves might influence the reaction mechanism. Microwave enhanced chemistry also brings an important tool to people involved in the research of new pharmaceutical products.
